help!!! i cant find my part! 700 1986

ive been looking for a used, or new and cheap,fuel sending unit and pump. i have a 86 740 n/a with a metal tank and the pump is in the tank. ive been searching for days and havent been able to find a sending unit to fit my car that wasnt 250 dollars or more.ive looked locally(minnesota,wisconsin), and on the internet and im coming up short. i would appreciate any advice.

Dude, try these guys... they are a used auto parts place... I picked up a used sending unit for an 88 740 (plastic) in GREAT shape for $80.

I'm sure they can help you out.

NOt sure about the metal tank version, but I see sending units on Ebay all the time.
