Ammeter/voltmeter wiring 200 1985

G'day, just wondering about the best way to wire up an ammeter and a voltmeter. I have wired them up so they are illuminated, i just need to know where to wire up the + and - . Any help would be grand. cheers

You've got both? The voltmeter is simple and safe - I connected mine to the cigarette lighter + & - leads so it's "alive" in position I or II of the switch. There was a thread some months ago about ammeter pros and cons and the consensus was that it won't tell you anything meaningful beyond what you'll learn from the voltmeter and is a lot more hassle and potentially dangerous. (a lot of extra high-current wiring is required).
