760 FUEL GAUGE. 700

Today I was driving to work when I discovered that my fuel gauge was sitting just below the Red on my 760 GLE, the car had plenty of fuel and was not registering on the gauge what it should. The Gauge was getting power to it as when I turned the engine on the needle would rise to just below the red as I mentioned. I have read that the circuit is connected along with the Temp Gauge however the Temp Gauge works.
Also the car has had a tendency to be rather sluggish of late as well Could this be related? ie: In Tank Pump? Sender?
Help would be greatly appreciated.

My fuel gague did simmilar tricks. Mine was actually in the instrument cluster, however your milage may vary. The easy way to determine if it's in the cluster is to give it a love tap near the gague, or near the bottom of the glass in the middle. By love tap, I could mean punch, but what you feel comfortable doing to your Volvo.

My solution was to remove the gague cluster, and resolder every joint. The problem, as well as a couple others, dissappeared.
