240 Rear Floorpans 200 1982

Does anyone know who sells relacement rear floorpans?
I've looked at several otherwise solid 245's that simply need rear floorpans.
If I could find some I'd have a small business doing just that.
If I didn't have to fabricate them I'd be interested.
http://www.rustrepair.com/ sells rocker panels, and rear fenders, but not floorpans.

The folks at Yankee Trading Co. in Easton PA (610-559-1750) are a great resource. I purchased a rear floor panel from them last summer for my '83 244. I ended up only using the left side, so the righ rear is available if that helps you. I also have the l & r rear quarter panels.

      Yankee sells floorpans? Good news!

I couldn't find a web site for them. Do you know if these panels are original Volvo or are they third-world copies?

Some of both. The volvo panels are heavier gauge metal than the aftermarket.

If someone sold 240 replacement floor pans, he'd have a tidy business.

I think Mother Volvo sells a complete floor pan, but you'd probably need to mortgage your house first.

When I had to repair a rust hole under the driver's seat ('86 245) I found a wrecked '81 with gorgeous floors and simply chopped out what I needed, leaving an extra 3-4" margin all around. Then I welded it in. Worked great.

Volvo sells the seat riser as two halves now, instead of as a complete piece. Often the rust is at the rear seam of the riser to floor, and the part of the floor that needs replacement is fairly flat. I did one on a very nice 89, ground the spotwelds, cut across the middle, cleaned up the floor with patches and primed and undercoated in 10 hours. The left seat riser was about $130.CDN.

Sometimes there is just a strip about 6 inches wide along the sill that goes bad- that does not really need a formed panel either- it is just if the center part of the pan is bad it is nice to have a formed piece. I have found that even if I find a good donor, I usually have to patch in along the sill anyway.
