I am always able to turn the engine over, however it will not always start. At first my buddy thought that it was a faulty ingition coil. Tested, and it's not that...His thought it to change out the roter cap? My question is, can anyone suggest the next step? He also leans toward a bad ingition switch... Please help me out here....

Replace or re-solder the fuel pump relay and the ignition suppression relay. IF you're not sure where they are, see the 700/900 FAQ.

You have to find out if its ignition or fuel related. While cranking, watch the tach needle - it should jump. If dead, suspect the ignition sensor (I think yours is a hall sensor in the dist.) or wiring to it.
If tach jumps, listen for the main fuel pump when you release the key - it should run for a second or so. If silent, suspect the fuel pump relay, which is a standard problem.

Main fuel is fine, I can hear it kick on. That was what I first thought, removed the hose and got a a shower!

You could have fuel at the rail but the injectors will not fire if the radio interference relay is not working. You can listen to the injectors with a stephascope (sp?) or screwdriver and see if they are pulsing.

Is the tach moving at all when you crank?
