remove 940 CR 718 radio 900

Today I was trying to remove the A/C control panel to work on some solding job. Brick fans told me that it is necessary to remove the radio underneath
to gain access to the a/c control panel. On the brickboard 900 FAQ, it never
mention anything about how to remove model CR 718 from the dash. I found that there are 4 metal clips. 2 on the sides and 2 on the top. Please Help.

remove 940 CR 718 radio 900

I have the CR728 (Australian version) in my 940. Looking at the front of the radio you will see a small slot at either end. Slide something small and thin into those slots and you should be able to feel a metal clip. Lever the clip in towards the radio unit. Stick a finger or two into the cassette slot and pull towards you. It may take a few attempts and it helps if you have 3 hands.
Don't worry about the clips on top of the radio. I think they are there simply to stop the unit bouncing up and down. They don't interfere when trying to remove the unit.
