A 1/2 ton press is good for alternator and starter bushings. Bushings that are
small on small shafts. For the suspension you need serious pressure. I bought a 15 ton press. I used a 6 ton press for the bushings one time. It just wasn't quite enough. 15 tons is. You will also need a set of strong drifts and receiver type tools.

The others have it right. I've got their 12 ton press and it worked ok on the suspension bushings. The 20 ton would be even better. Note that I bought the rear trailing arm tool, the 12 ton press, and all rear bushings. These paid for themselves with the first repair job.

1/2 ton is almost useless except for Radio Flyer-level repairs. Save your money.

Unless you've been eating a lot more wheaties than I have, An old fashoned arbor press is fairly useless.
A 12 or 20 ton hydralic is more apt to get the job done.( I have a 12 ton Works fine )
