What a great couple of weeks. I have been very productive recently while working on my Volvo. I tightened the parking break, made all the lights work again (every 6 months), replaced the transmission mount, replaced the battery tray and tie downs, fixed all the rust, installed a new AC compressor, dryer and expansion valve, converted the AC to R-134 installed new drive belts, converted to the electric cooling fan, replaced the plugs, rotor and cap, and installed an aftermarket cooling gauge. I did this all because I found so much good information here at the Brickboard.
Thanks Jarrod and all of you fine people that come here and share. This place has probably saved owners of old Volvos hundreds of thousands of dollars in repairs, an equal number of man-hours of work, and an immeasurable amount of frustration. This is a good place.
Next weekend comes the wiring harness replacement job. Thanks to the Brickboard, I am now confident enough to take on that challenge. After that I am planning to set up an old Pentium 2 in my garage so I can go straight to the Brickboard while I am under the hood!
Last year I donated a small amount to the fundraiser. Times were tight, and It was what I could afford. This next year at Christmas I hope to give at least the cost of a Bently manual. The Brickboard has been worth far more than I could really hope to give back.
My thanks again to all.
