Does anyone know the cranking amp spec for the OEM battery found in a '82 240 when sold new?

    The Bentley manual, which covers '83 to '93, says the standard battery capacity is 60 AH and the amp rating is 450 A. Hope this helps. I doubt the '82 is much different. I would buy a battery as powerful as I could get in the case style which would fit in the car.
