Rust through at lower control arm mount - what to do? 700 1986

I have attempted to attach a photo below. Rust in this location is fairly common (so says the FAQ). I haven't been able to find anyone in North Carolina who is willing to fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it worth fixing and do you think that it is dangerous? I really like my car (745 with M46 and 200K) and have had it in the family since new, so I know the history. Otherwise the car is good mechanical condition.

Thank you,
Steve

I found a welding shop through a body shop that i trust and they welded a plate on both sides of the frame(?) in that area. Your picture didn't come so cannot be sure if this is the same thing you are talking about.

      Blair,

Thank you for your reply. I would love to find someone to weld a plate in place. It seems like it might be a little difficult given the location. I think that I finally suceeded in posting the photo, but I put it in a new post at the top. Thanks again.
