Starting married life with a Volvo! 200 1984

Sorry if this is off-topic, but I can't sleep. I'm getting married on Tuesday and we will be starting our journey through life together in a 1984 Volvo wagon!
I'll have to get a few pics of us driving off with "Just Married" on the rear window. Have a great night everyone!

Can`t claim to have used a Volvo, but I did transport the present Mrs. Shepherd from the ceremony to the reception in a sailplane! didn`t work out though, she`s still with me 12 years on, maybe I didn`t frighten her enough!!! (forgot to do some aerobatics)
    Best wishes,
    Colin.

Congratulations, I started married life 31 years ago and I was driving a 68 model 144. Nothing like getting off on the right foot.

29 years here, and we left the Quaker Meetinghouse in the Blushing Lemon, a red 65 544.

Hey, I did the same thing. We took off on our Honeymoon in an '81 wagon. Of course that was almost 11 years ago and that Volvo finally succumbed to the NE salt. It has become a family tradition of Volvo only in our driveway. Upon our return for the HM, we quickly ditched her Nissan.

Perhaps the funniest experience was the time (a year or so later), that the windshield wipers on the Volvo failed while making the 150 mile trip home one rainy Sunday. The cam failed and the wiper linkage was just rattling around in the dash. I took out the glove box, reached through, and operated the wipers by hand the rest of the way home. A good 1-1/2 hours of left-right, left-right, left-right. Other people in traffic must have wondered what was going on with my arms in the dash and my chin on the dash.

Has to be even more fun than dating in a Volvo. Memories of the time the 544 dropped the entire exhaust under the portico of the fanciest restaraunt in the northern part of the state. Or maybe the time the blinker switch caught fire in some poor maiden's driveway. While her father watched. Years of happiness to you. Marriage has been one thing that I have mostly enjoyed and even when I'm not enjoying it I still don't regret a minute.
