Did you replace the fuel filter? You may have clogged it with all the crud that comes down the fuel lines running the car that low on fuel. Also the K-jetronic
system doesn't spray fuel until the sensor plate is lifted by airflow so if
you just tried to see if any fuel comes out without lifting the plate you
won't get any gas. It's also possible you clogged the fuel distributor.
Try running the fuel pumps and put the injectors in a clear fuel safe container.
You can take off the intake hose to the airflow meter and lift the plate with
a allen wrench or a screwdriver. To really lift it alot you would have to
take off the upper boot that goes to the throttle body. You should have gas
come out of the injectors if the pumps are running and you lift the plate.
To force the fuel pumps to run you can use a fused jumper from fuse 5 to fuse 7.
I provide this as suggested courses of action. Gas is very dangerous to work
around and I cannot be liable for any advice given. If you read this post
and try my suggestions, then you are agreeing that only you are responsible
for any accidents or mishaps that may occur while you are working on the
fuel system of the car. Wish you well.
