1986 740 engine harness 700

What are the differences between a harness for a b230f and b230ft? Could the b230ft harness be altered to fit on the b230f? Thanks in advance.

For one thing, the AMM is completely on the other side of the engine, as is the battery. While a lot of the engine wiring will be the same, i.e. sensors and FI locations, there are significant differences that will almost certainly prevent you from using a non-turbo harness in a turbo car. I haven't actually tried this particular swap but it seems to me that there couldn't possibly be a way to make it work.

The engine wiring harness for the B230FT does not have a wire for the full throttle switch, and it is set up for powering the injectors through a ballast pack of injectors. You would need to alter the wire harness by by-passing the resister ballast pack and adding the wire and electrical connector for the full throttle switch.

Do you have a good harness from a 1986 740T?

No I don't have one but I saw one in a salvage yard this morning. I may go back and get it Monday. I'm not sure the condition of it but it looks better than mine. (230f)
