Drain Plug for trans Fluid Change ??? 200

The easy way to do this is to flush the trans fluid via the top cooling line connection at the radiator. The FAQ's should have the complete procedure. It is quick, easy, and removes all the old fluid rather than just what is in the pan.

There are two steel lines that connect to the radiator on the passengers side. The upper line routes the ATF back to the transmission after it has passed through the portion of the radiator that is dedicated to cooling the fluid. Removing this line and starting the engine will result in the transmission pumping the ATF "out". If you have a hose connected to this outlet you can direct the flow into a bucket. This procedure is described in the FAQ's (drop down window under "Features") specifically at this location:

As always I suggest people are comfortable with their skill level and ability to deal with the task at hand before getting into it (and perhaps over their head).

Very well done Randy. Thankyou, I've read about this line, where the ATF can be pumped out of... you just expalined this the simplest, most understandable way, thankyou! Street
