Battery warning light repaired/thanks 200

Last week I was a coward and took my car to the dealership to have them look at my 85 and tell me what was wrong. I came home and the posted my inquiry as to what could possibly be wrong. Several of you gave me similar advice, and one of you guilted me into not first coming to the "board." That evening, I returned to the dealership and liberated my car. I turned some of the fuses, and guess what? It worked. Thanks for the advice and thank you for guilting me into at least trying to fix it! I love you guys (and girls)!

No problem. But what bothered me was that you had a car that had given you 17 years of good reliable service and you were considering dumping it over what may have been a minor problem. Those sexier younger models aren't all they pretend to be. (There's a recent post about an s80.)
