'84 245 ti fuel filters 200

As of yet I don't have a Chiltons or Bentley Bible for my 245.Exactly how many fuel filters are there? One on the firewall in front of the driver, one next to the external pump(under car) and one in the tank. Am I correct on this? Thanks,

    Get the Bentley.

    That said there are two filter like devices. One is the filter on the driver's side part of the firewall, the other is a mesh screen before the in-tank pump (pre-pump, transfer pump, whatever you wanna call it).

    AFAIK there is no filter by the external pump. There is however a "fuel accumulator" designed to help retain residual pressure and reduce "vapor lock", make for easier cold starting, etc.
