O2 Sensor 900 1992

My O2 sensor appears to have gone bad. The FAQ talk about it being on the manifold. The removal portion of the FAQ says it's right next to the CAT, that sounds like an exhaust pipe. I got asked the other day as I was trying to buy one if it is in the pipe or the manifold. I have not crawled under the car to check. Manifold or pipe? Can you help?

    I have to make a few assumptions here;
    Assuming your car is a 900 series '92 with a turbo, it should be in the downpipe (facing forward) 1/2 way between the manifold and the CAT. Tough to see from up top but obvious from below.
    If this does not describe your car, all bets are off...

    What model vehicle do you have?, turbo or non-turbo?

        O2 Sensor locations:

        95 960 (OBDI) - located on top of the head pipe just before the catalytic convertor.

        98 S90 (OBDII) - Both sensors are located on top of the head pipe, One O2 sensor is located just before AND and One just after the cat.

        Both are easy to get to if the car is on ramps.

        I assume the 92 960 has just one,. I would check the head pipe just in front of the cat. first.
