mounting front spoiler 200 1981

I spent a little time looking around at the brick last night and can't seem to find where the matching holes are for the front spoiler. Any help as to where this should mount?

Hi,

Some of the earlier heavy aluminum bumpers DID have holes drilled for the spoiler. My 1980 did NOT, but I found a bumper off of a 1983(?) turbo that did. Maybe also the GL models had the holes. I found it easier just to swap bumpers than to align and drill the holes. Bumpers were cheap at the local boneyard.

I've got both 81 & 84 240s. The heavy aluminum bumper on the older model does not have provisions for the spoiler. 84 & up plastic bumpers do. It will mount to the backside of the bumper. You will figure it out when you look arround.
You will probably have to drill some holes on either one though to get it to fit. I hit a cat or something and knocked one end of mine off. I used a larger bolt and fixed it.

Ben,

Thanks for the info. I was afraid that might have been the answer. As such, could I use the spoiler as a template and drill holes into the heavy aluminum unit?
