83FT fuel dist has a buzz 200

Tonight I noticed a buzz coming from the fuel dist of my CI 83FT while it is off, sitting in driveway. Disconnecting the batt will stop it. Anyone know what this might be and/or can I drive it like this until it I fix it? Should I be keeping a closer watch on this vehicle?

    About the only thing I can think of by the fuel distributor that buzzes is the frequency valve. I suppose you could pull the wiring connector off and see if it quits, then you would at least know what is making the racket!

      Right you are on the frequency valve. I'm told this noise is normal with the engine running, but not shut off. Turned out to be a relay located right behind the headlight relay.

        I have to check mine again, but mine did that for a while. Then the fuel pump relay died and after I replaced it, I think it stopped doing it.
