Stainless Exhaust for '92 960 900

Does anyone make a stainless exhaust for a 1992 965 Wagon? I had hoped to make the winter with the original but no such luck. I have an exhaust leak. I live in Massachusetts.

    Come on now! Someone must make a stainless exhaust system for these cars since Volvo used stainless steel in their CA and MA emission state cars. I can even get aftermarket SS exhausts for my 1800 E and 122s.

      If the other postings are correct, you should be able to order the CA/MA system from Volvo. I know Volvo gives a lifetime guarantee on all their OEM replacement systems so even if it is expensive it'll be the last time you have to buy it.

      '96 965 with 16' wheels at 100K. Had '85 745 Turbo Diesel for 200K.

    My mechanic (when I really get stuck: thank you Joe) commented that my 97-965's entire exhaust system is stainless.

      Cars that sold in the early 1990's in California and Massachusetts had Stainless Steel exhausts because it is part of the Emission's System and those 2 states required auto mfgs. to cover Emission Systems for a longer period. Unfurtunately my car was not originally sold in MA. I also have a 1996 960 originally sold in Ohio that does not appear to be stainless either. My mother bought a 1997 Taurus with Stainless Steel exhaust. The dealer wsas in Enfield CT. He said that because he was on the MA border and had many customers there he ordered all his cars to comply with MA Emmission Warranty.
