Hey all,

Both my mirrors were totally iced over yesterday from the storm which dumped over two feet of snow here in eastern MASS, and for the first time in a while I tried out the heated mirrors...the driver's side worked great, but the passenger's side didn't defrost or melt any ice at all. Question: are both mirrors heated, or is just the driver's side? If the passenger's side is supposed to be heated too, what might be wrong?

WHAT?...HEATED MIRRORS? I DON'T GOT NO HEATED MIRROR! ('90 240 DL)..perhaps a 'GL' option?...Color me 'jealous' here...

Hehe...I guess so...option isn't on my parents '92 245...only used it a few times so you're not missing a big party. You could always attempt a mirror swap.

Maneuver the mirror so you can see behind the glass. You will see two electrical connectors. These have corroded. Remove, clean, reinstall.
