Check Engine Light- You won't believe how 200 1990

It is a nice sunny day here in Southeast Texas. My toddler son was playing with the water hose. He managed to put into my tailpipe and fill the exhaust system up. I was parked facing downhill. I wnet to leave top go back to work after lunch and I started the car, it blew out a bunch of water. It runs fine but now my check engine light came on- 2-1-2 and 2-3-2. I think it screwed up my oxygen sensor. What could the water have done to it?

And if you do have to shell out the $$$ for a new sensor just be glad it wasn't a steep enough hill that water could get into the engine and hydro a rod or two when you tried to start it.

Before you buy a new o2 sensor, try resetting the codes. See if that does anything.

Be glad he didn't think of filling the gas tank with water.

I used to do that to my Dad's Chevy. Good thing it was facing uphill and before emmission stuff I guess.

Good thing he wasn't playing gas station attendant.

That stunt qualifies for the parental "I remember when" archive files for when the boy gets old enough so you can rub it in a little. Hope it will clear up and you don't have to replace the O2 sensor. Is your boy named Dennis? 8~)

Dry the sensor out and then reset the codes; you might not have any more problems with that code.

The thought of a little guy filling up the exhaust system with the water hose is kind of funny.
