has anybody experienced this?...it's rather odd...when i press the horn, the rear wiper is activated in lieu of the horn sounding...it doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make you wonder -thanks

How funny.... my rear wiper swooshes when I open and close my sunroof. We just tell people it's an undocumented feature.

I figured it was a ground problem but I'm awaiting warmer weather to do my grounds.

I had the exact same problem with my 93 245. Turned out the screw that holds the wiper switch onto the steering column was loose. Remove the cover and check that the screws holding the wiper switch and the directional signal switch are tightened fully.

The cause of this is usually poor grounding of the steering column. Try tightening the bolts which hold the column to the body under the dashboard.

Sounds like a ground shorts under the hood, youll need to clean your grounds and that should take care of it.
