My 940T sedan has the Al 16" Hydra wheels. I found a site that sells each wheel for about $580. Is that for real? I seriously cannot believe that those rims could be that much.

I've got a set of 15" Aries alloys on my 91 940 GL. Three of them I bought second hand from Swedish Autos here in Australia. I got them for about $300 the lot (if i remember correctly) The remaining wheel was pretty badly bent up (the car had rolled). I spent the next few weeks trying to find one second hand. Nobody had one! Anywhere in Australia!!! I ended up having to cough up just over $400 for ONE wheel from Volvo.

Yup. Take extra care while driving on them. I was once at the volvo dealer getting some parts and this lady was behind me. See was getting an alloy wheel for a 850 or s70, something newer. Sam's club had damaged her rim while installing a new tire and I guess said they would reimburse her. You should have seen the look on her face when they said something like 700!

WOW. Are you serious? I need to do some repairs on my 940. Thinking bout selling the hydras, then getting wheel spacers and BBS RK's. Then use the money left over to fix up the body and get performance mods

They are the most desired wheel and sets go for $400-500 on Ebay if that is worth it to you. It took me years to extract them from a pick and pull, but they finally came through. They look fabulous on the 780.

I got a set for 225. Sounds like a good deal? After they arrived I realized that is fact they are worth 225, curb rash! It'll probably take at least 2 partial weekends sanding and refinishing them.

I did not have to pay triple digits for mine but I guess you know half my weekend is spent wandering through junkyards, so if you figure my time, it is higher cost. I had to touch up an edge on one or two and spot paint, but I am set up with the Volvo paint so it all came out great even with the $500 tires. One of my holy grails of the pick and pull achieved. Now what do I hope for? Wagon cargo cover? Digital ambient temp gauge? Those are about the only two things I have not seen yet.

have a scrap yard in my town which only does bricks (they do servicing and all sorts) that advertises cargo covers on the web!
but it UK...dont know how muc hshipping would be...

I bought a tan cargo cover for my 940 wagon on eBay, but it arrived in perfect shape, but without the mounting hardware. I was able to get some of the clips from a very cooperative dealer here, but not the plastic pieces that replace the stock panels that the cover attaches to just behind the seat. Would the yard you mentioned have those mounting panels?

Are the 240 wagon covers more rare than the 700/900 series? Have you come across the 700/900 series covers?

XO ohh man. I have a very good set right now just sitting in the garage waiting for the weather to get above 30 deg F.

I have ebay auctions run above $800 several times. I bought a set for $550 that were average condition.
