I am still dealing with a trunk that won't open from the release in the glove compartment. Could it be the trunk motor is dying? How can I test it to see if it needs to be replaced? Help!

The motor is identical to the door locks. See FAQ for instructions on internal contacts that need cleaning from time to time. Is your doorpost cable release working? Mine broke and I found a replacement cable at the bicycle shop for $11.00.
