740 rear shocks

Am getting ready to do the rear shocks on a 91 740. From the FAQ's I'm looking for an access hole for the top of the shock. Stupid question but am I looking for this hole in the trunk or under the rear seat? For some reason I'm not seeing it. Many thanks!

    both the 740 rear shocks I've done, I've ran into problems. Firstly, the top is outside the car, in the tire wall behind a rubber gorment. It maybe hidden under the undercoating.

    The problem thats common the rear 740 shocks is the lower shock bolt gets rusted and hard to remove. Have plenty of plbaster and a set of new bolts if need be.

      Many thanks! I've heard the horror stories about the lower shock bolts being stuck in the holes.
