Where to buy wheels 700

I thought I'd take a look at the wheel options available to me for my '92 745t. I figured I'll get snow tires on my exisiting wheels and buy a wheel and tire package from someone. So I checked tirerack.com - found 2 wheels for my car, I then tried tires.com and found a whoping 1!!
There must be more wheels available, can anyone point me to a vendor? Ideally looking to go with 16" wheels

Ian

Where to buy wheels - Believe it or not, try Ford! 700

I have a friend who builds hot rods who has a chart of wheel swaps. He tells me that wheels for full size Fords should fit a Volvo.

Perhaps a good tire shop or wheel dealer can confirm that.

It would not be too hard to check a wheel

OEM alloy cuisinart 16' wheels should be available for about $50. 700

I just bought two last year from a guy in Maryland. Granted the previous two cost me a couple hundred, but prices vary from time to time. Trouble is if you need them NOW it takes awhile. However, you should be able to find some stock 16" alloy wheels for $200 or so.

Try New England Wheels at www.neww.com. I just picked up a NEW set of steel wheels (15x6) for for my 92 740 wagon for $58 each,a pretty reasonable value for New wheels. Service was great. They carry custom wheels also. Email or call them for Volvo wheels.

Well, thanks for the info. However, here in Northeastern MA, that seemed to be one of the best prices around. I had priced steel wheels from at least eight different stores, including some 'discount' national\regional chains, and the prices ranged from the low of $58 to as much as $109. On line prices weren't much better, if shipping charges were factored in.

Try your local salvage/junk yard. About a month ago I picked up 4 rims from a 760 with hub caps for my 87 745 Ti to mount my winter tires on for $100 for everything, and the rims are in great shape also..

          Good Luck

No prob - you're welcome. Pricewise, Discount Tire Direct and TireRack are about even, tilting a few bucks one way or another. For selection, though, it's TireRack.

I'm not looking for OEM wheels, they are way overpriced.
But there must be more than 3 types of aftermarket wheels available for our bricks! right?

I have a set of Ronal R25's on my 745Ti. Up to 7.5" width, any style listed that offers a 5x108 bolt pattern, with 20mm falling in the range of offsets, will work.

I bought 'em direct ... talk to Gary over there. My decision in getting these was based on their background, quality (made in Germany and TUV certified), and how expensive used OEM 16's are going on ebay.

eBay sucks for decent wheels - they usually go for 5 times their worth. Email me off the board and I'll give you a site URL that might be off some use for acquiring Volvo wheels for a good price.

If you don't have your heart set on "brand new", then ebay can have some great deals. You can frequently find 16" OEM or others. Shipping can get expensive (around $100 for wheels w/ tires) but if you're buying from tirerack, there's shipping with them too. And with the right deal on ebay you could save literally hundreds of dollars.
