Main Pump draw 200

My main pump is drawing 4 amps, Bentley manual suggests draw of 5 amps.

Something wrong with my main pump?

For what it's worth, IPD says that K-Jet main pumps should draw 9.5 amps and LH-Jet main pumps should draw 6.5 amps. My Bentley lists these two figures as maximum draws.

Is your pump unusally loud? What symptoms do you see or hear?

If none, don't worry about it. When an electrical device is going bad it typically will draw more amps not less.

If the car acts like it is fuel starved, i.e. bucking, loud pump noises, leaks, etc. Then you have cause for concern. Check the Bently manual.

DAMN.. now i KNOW my pump is messed up.. i was reading 8.5-9 amps.. and 10 when i first started the car.

this is in my 91 245SE
