Dead car and no restart after putting it in reverse 700

I'm currently stuck at school. I went outside this morning to head off to school and when i started the car, i thought i was good to go. However, as soon as a put the car in reverse, it died. I put it back into park and tried starting it again. I can get it to crank, but not restart. And after cranking for a bit, it seems to slow down just a tad but never starts up. I checked the hose in the back of the fuel pressure regulator and smelled fuel. Ended up having my cousin drive me to school.

I know to check for spark and timing belt. Anything else? Anyone had a car that died after putting it into reverse?

Update So Far 700

I got a friend to take me home early. Tested the following:

-Spark (got that and its good)
-Fuel (fuel was in the cyclinder that i checked could smell it and see it coming out as fumes)
-Fuel pumps (i can hear them running when and after i crank)
-Timing belt (its in good condition)
-Fuel pump relays (used both the old one and a new one, no change)

Also checked the fuses and hoses and i found no air leaks.

Still NO start, only cranking

Any other things to check??

Dead car and no restart after putting it in reverse 700

I would look at the neutral safety switch.

If it cranks it's not the neutral safety switch!!! 700

baseline, check everything. cold weather, stuff happens. cold be relays, flooded, ice in fuel lines, etc., etc.
