It DOES look nice...BUT...the guy's a dealer, and I believe the car has been 'prettied up' for sale. If it's lived in florida all it's life, there should be little/no rust...but that's a big if. In my opinion. the 'dirt/oil' on the shock towers is merely cosmoline...shipping wax, which normally appears on cars privately shipped..and in Miami a lot of cars are shipped to/from the islands. Still only 80 thousand miles...appealing...though he may have posted a high reserve. If the car really is as presented...it's worth at least $2k. I hope it finds a loving 'Volvo' home.

    Got a GL grill.

    Tailgate's been painted.

It has one of those nifty battery on-off switches...

I always think twice when the engine has been washed (and poorly, at that) and the plastic 'n hoses shined up with Armorall.....

...Does that mean something leaked? Does that mean nobody cleaned it before?

Still, this could be a hell of a buy. Keep in mind that it has the LH1.2 system.

Need to look at the floorboards, rockers, lower door seams, tailgate....

... and I thought a clean engine was a selling point!

"... and I thought a clean engine was a selling point!"

        It is and you're right.

        But so am I.

My unspoken message is that the engine on eBay was NOT clean (as evidenced by the strut towers and other stuff). But when you see a recently washed valve cover, shiny & polished hoses and plastic, and all else filthy -- then the alarms should go off in your head.

        Your car, Chris? Gorgeous!

I know. It WAS a good point, too.

Actually I was just giving you a hard time... well, just because. BEcause I'm so weird about keeping the engine compartment clean (and taking pictures of it...)
