240 shocks. retorqued 3 times. still they rattle.

What am I suppose to do. Im using the torque values in the book, and a little more. Everything appears tight, but Rattle, rattle , rattle.

How tight do they need to be.

Help.

I have a 1992 240 and replaced the front strut cartridges this past fall. I took the front suspension apart 3 times for recurrent rattling and had 2 different shops investigate the sound. Everything appeared appropriate to them and was told to return when more developed sound/performance wise. Well, after a couple more weeks the sound has disappeared and the car handles just fine.

is it in the front or the rear? I had front problems that were a combination of the strut tube nut being loose, the large bushing housing being loose, , the busing in the housing being loose, and out of round.
