What Happened to Nils Sefeldt Volvo? 200

They used to sell parts below retail, I just called them up (they are some other name now) and sell now they sell parts at "suggested retail". Well, I guess there goes a good source of parts down the tubes. Any other recommendations for parts?

For dealer specific parts, try Borton Volvo
    www.borton.com
They are always reasonable , even on oddball parts for my diesels.

What Happened to Nils Sefeldt Volvo? 200

When the original Nils passed away, #1 son did not want to take over. The dealership (the first in the USA west of the Mississippi) was sold, and has been re-sold at least once.

For a while Giles Volvo in Clear Lake was owned by the same outfit.

Now they sell stuff just like your corner Ford house, and I'm a little supprised they aren't "Planet Volvo" or some such new millenium type name.

They are riding on Volvo's past.

I have carefully acquired and saved all the Sefeldt Volvo license plate frames I can get my hands on. They sold cars, but they knew Volvos, too. I could send my wife to get parts when I ran into a problem worse that what I prepared for. Hokie, in the parts department, was a first-name buddy, and I got on the parts discount list. They gave 10% off to VCOA members, too.

    Sob.

    Regards,

    Bob
