Some PV Photos 444-544

There are quite a few nice interior and exterior photos of 544's when they were new at this site:

Nice nostalgic photos. Nothing impresses the ladies more than dual SU carburetors!

I got a chuckle out of that one too!

Try going to the main page at www.norskvolvopvklubb.no

There are some 444's, 445's, duetts and a partial picture of what appears to be an oversized production PV with four doors.

Creatively reading the text is almost as much fun as seeing the pictures.

I know what you mean. At times Swedish is fairly transparent, other times totally indecipherable.

Don't let this translator ruin too much of your fun. Although even it is fooled plenty of times - especially by some of those large conglomerated words.

I didn't see it - but the large 4 door PV could have been one of the many full-sized (in the American sense) lines of cars that they made pre-war. Some of these continued in production well into the 50's - mostly as commercial vehicles. And such a 4 door sedan body was perched on top of a heavy duty 4WD truck chassis to create the TP21 Sugga for the Swedish military.

Thanks for the pointer to the translator.

The four door thingy is a PV60. It is pictured on the last page you can select on the navigation bar on the left side of the home page screen just above the hit counter.

There's lots of neat old pictures on that page... though I didn't find the 4 door one yet either...but this is cool...

Here is one, and in case you wonder, the text is Dutch.
