trunk lock. 1982-240. Still not sure about this one?

Can anyone tell me more about how to deal with a trunk that wont open. I was told that I could get into the trunk after removing the rear seats. O.k., but im not sure what to do once I get in there. Does anybody have more information on this one?

Thanks

Does an 82 have a trunk pass-through from the rear seat, behind the armrest?

THat's the spot, if it does. If not, yes, you have to take the back seats out. If it has the pass-through, get a long long long extension from the rear seat with a 10mm socket will release the whole lock assembly so that you can get the lid open and find out what's going on.
