Exhaust Leak 900 1994

I developed an exhaust leak a couple of days ago.. Tonight something let loose that sounded like I lost the entire system... It appears it is coming from the flange in front of the catalitic converter. Is their a gasket in there? and how does it come apart?

Regards,
Kevin

Should be a steel "donut" between the front pipe and the cat. Remove the 3 nuts on the flange to separate.

Do you have any experience with how this will come apart?? Considering the potential rust or frozen nuts along with the high temp of the cat.,,,

Do you have a Dremmel tool>? My new best friend for exhaust work. Cut the old rusty bolts off, put in new shiny bolts, its a heck of alot easier, trust me.
Good Luck, FWIW I think my 1994 940 is developing the same thing. I hear loud exhaust noise until it warms up some, then it gets quiet, sounds like its near the front of the car, lucky me...
Good Luck...
