Rough Idle after spark plug change 700

Changed plugs on friday, put in new Bosch platinums checked gap all were at correct gap. After the switch i didnt notice anything immediately but when pulling out of my drive a few hours later the car died. The RPM's go between 700-1000. It happens at idle and under acceleration up to about 1800 rpms unless i give it alot of gas then either it doesnt happen or maybe i just cant tell. The weird part of it all is that overall performance at higher revs is better after changing the plugs. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Chances are, something happened with the wires to make an intermittent or substandard connection, or one of the plugs is bad. You could try to put the old ones back in and see if it idles better. Otherwise you've isolated the problem to something else in the IGN system.

this JUST happened to me also, with Bosch platinum. factory gap .028 vs. old plugs .047. for some reason the #4 cylinder new plug got its gap pushed together which i think gave me only 3 cylinders firing & very rough idle. I pulled the new plugs to discover this. i gapped mine at a compromise since the old plugs running okay --- .035 and now new plugs run fine. note: i'm at high altitude--Denver.
