Loosing Coolant....Slowly 200 1986

Hi everyone,
My coolant level is dropping slowly (1/2 expansion tank in a month) I know this is small but I have found the leak. I found a little blob of coolant on the waterpump body (on top where the webs are) but I can not see where it is coming out. The waterpump has very little play in it, 192K Kms (120K Mi) B230F.
Question, is it going to let go in a big way? Is it coming through the shaft or could it just need a new gasket or tightening? Should I just take the thing off for an exploratory look.
Thanks in advance
Karl

The gasket between the top of the water pump and the head is a giant rubber O-ring, almost like a 1/2long section of water hose. If the camshaft seal leaks a bit, the oil gets to that gasket and ruins the rubber.

If you go in there to look, check that seal first.

    Good Luck,

    Bob

It could just be leaking on top where the gasket goes between the waterpump and the cly. head.
