The turning ratio is normal. 240's are know for a tight turning radius.

I too have loose steering feel in my 90 244DL. In the 2 years I have owned it, I have replaced the rack, tie rods, ball joints and this week the lower steering shaft U-joint - still loose.... I have driven other 240's with tighter steering feel. Don't know what the problem is. Maybe struts??? Think they are original.

Post if you find out anything new.

    Jim 90 244DL 206K and running strong
