Funny Camping story 200

I decieded to sleep in the backend of my 91 245se wagon during one of my camping trips. Well, besides forgeting to leave any of the windows open, and almost dying inside my car when I woke up gasping for breath, I also managed to lock the keys in the car. I locked all the doors when I was going to sleep, And when I woke up, I opened up the tailgate, then I closed it, and right then I realized I was fu**ed. With all the doors locked, I was stuck in the middle of nowhere, with my friends laughing at my because I locked my own keys in my car. AHHH!!!! Well I had to call AAA after futile atempts to open the locks with the radio antenna that I bent in half.

I did something similar to a Ford Fiesta I was borrowing. I am used to central locking, but on this car the doors had to be locked separately with the key or from inside by pushing in the handle and then closing the door. To cut a long story short, I locked both doors without the key, the key still in the ignition, with ignition and radio on, in the rain. The Royal Automobile Club had to use a Slim Jim and other dastardly means to get the car unlocked. If it was mine I would have burst a window but the owner wouldn't have liked me so much if I did it to that particular rattlebox, and people would have thought I was a car thief!

What were you thinking....80° and sleeping in the car with the winders rolled up?

OH EtOH!!! The fermented and distilled kind....

I truly hope you didn't have too many beans for dinner.....do you smoke in bed? After sex? I guess not or we wouldn't be reading your story.

This may belong in opinions, but dude, get two girlfriends/wives. One will always be awake when you are awake just to rag on you. The other will always be sleeping, etc. So you wake up (if you are lucky) and there is NO way you will lock yourself out of the car.........

HAHAHAH....that is funny! I must remember to leave a window open and not to lock the keys in.

I can imagine you would have found it hard with the wire to open the door. I was once replacing the drivers side key barrell in the door. I had the trim off the door, keys in ingition etc. Like an idiot during the testing process I closed the door and realised it was locked and of course so were all the other doors. I got some trusty door opening wire and went to work. I had the help of being able to go to the other side and look in at where my wire was. Even with the visual aid as a guide it was bloody difficult. The wire had to be bent in an oddball shape to reach the barrell lever. Well, I got it open, and no scratches ,...phew!

nope... but a bad thing to do was sleeping in a -20F sleeping bag. It was about 80 degrees outside.
