Replacing struts and shocks What else??? 900 1996

I'll be replacing the struts and shocks on my '96 965 and I would like your opinions on the "while your at it you should check/replace the (fill in blank)" when doing these two jobs. I checked the FAQ and both jobs seem straight forward enough so I would to address any other suspension issues as well
Thanks for your time and consideration.

You did not mention the miles on your 960, but nevertheless I would replace the control arm bushings and the sway bar bushings.

The sway bar links themselves might be a little on the scruffy side. Mine snapped when I loosened the nut to change the bushings. They rust out and it's hard to see them when they are covered by the bushings and the sway bar. Might want to keep a set on hand in case you need to change them.

You will probably be shocked at the enormous difference the control arm bushings make. You car will feel tighter and stop smoother. Many times, that brake shudder you can't get rid of, is worn control arm bushings. I thought it made more of a difference, in the way the car drove, than changing the shocks and struts.

You absolutely want to check the suspension bushings, especially the sway bar bushings. Why are you replacing the struts & shocks? High mileage, shudder, leakage, performance improvement? Check the FAQ's on suspension issues.

Sorry, mileage is an important consideration, the car has 92k and I replaced sway bar links last year. The only reason for changing struts/shocks is the mileage and the tires need replaced. No sense running new tires on wore shocks, I've made that mistake before.
Again thanks for time and consideration.

While you have the front struts out, look at the condition of the strut boot p/n 1387735 $33, Bearing p/n 3530341-1 $27, support plate p/n 1387188-4 $121, and the rubber spring pad.
