Barrier hoses?? 700

I am trying to determine if my 89 740T has barrier type AC hoses!
It has crimped connectors which seems to be the determining factor.
Any help?

Mike,

With R12 refrigerant, barrier hoses are unnecessary. The R12 molecule is much larger that an R134a molecule, so it doesn't run the risk of seeping through the hoses. In fact, barrier type hoses are usually not even necessary on R134a A/C systems, but more of a precaution. I hope this helps...

Basically, only vehicles that came from the factory with r134a have barrier hoses.
If your car came with r12 in it, you don't.
almost all refrigerant hoses are crimped
