Well, the compressor that I installed last spring has died, frozen solid. Need a source for a compressor, dryer, etc. Cost is definately a consideration.

See the FAQ for ideas, and check NAPA as well. When you install the replacement, make sure you also install a suction line screen to prevent debris from ruining the new compressor. You might also install an in-line filter on the line coming out of the condenser to the receiver-dryer for further protection.

Where might I find these filters. I'm about to open up my system for repair and I would consider doing this also.
