cruise control diagrams

I am troubleshooting the cruise control on my 88 240DL.

So far I have checked the vacuum switch at the brake, the vacuum canister, solenoids that control vacuum to the servo/gaspedal, vacuum lines. So far they all check out perfect.

Can anyone point me out to a website or online document that describes the cruise control system? I have not found any circuit board yet that controls the solenoids. I assume there must be one? Where does the cruise get its signal to confirm correct mph is being maintained?

      john, i would also like to have the cruise control diagrams. mine is a '91 940 gle (16v), my particular interest is the vac system, my brick has an "uneven" idle and causes the engine vibrates while at idle, replaced iav, fpr, plugs, throttle switch..... same, i suspect a small vac leak somewhere, thinking about replacing all vac lines, any ideas or sugguestion, my e-mail address: tangj@juno.com. thanks in advance for your assistance!!
