Help me fix my Baby! brake/electrical problem 700 1992

The speedometer/odometer on my 845T hasn't been regeistering right (about 8 percent shy of actual mileage and speed). I loosened, then re-installed, the odometer thingy that's in the differential. After I reattached it, the brakes started making a coughing sound (ONLY at low speeds, as the car slows to a stop). I don't know where to go from here w/o making it worse. Thank you for any help!

That's also the sensor for the rear wheels, for the ABS system.

I'm not sure if you fixed your speedo problem, but if you changed the reading, AND the front wheel sensors are dirty, you could cause the problem you've mentioned. That's a common problem, caused by dirty wheel sensors. Obviously there's some difference between how it was and how it is, since the problem surfaced after you took out the speed sensor pickup.

Does the brake pedal pump as well? It sounds like the ABS is triggering. Does it get any worse if braking during a turn?
