was surging 700

it started out surging when it was idleing and around 30 miles per hr. it would do the same thing. Now it died and I could not get it started, the engine just turns over like it's not getting any fuel. When I went back about 6 hours later to drag it home, it started, I zomed home and haven't drove since. Don't know why it's doing it and it's to far to try and get it to a shop.

You might have a faulty RPM or crank sensor. Experienced the same problem and thought at first was the fuel pump relay but turned out to be the RPM sensor, the worst part is that, the sensor also damaged my ignition module because of the faulty signals it is transmitting. hope this helps.

where would I find the rmp and crank sensor and would I be able to replace them?
That don't sound to expensive, but if it gets me going. I notice that the cable running back to the transmission is broke up where it joins with the throttle cable. Any auto part suppliers out there.
Thanks
