will an AW70/71 bolt up to the V6 in a 262? 200 1980

I have a chance at getting a 262 for real cheap.... very clean car except that tranny died. I also have a spare AW70 or 71 (can't remember). Another question, how much would a clean '80 or '81 262 go for? It's in mint condition, I think about 120k miles. I tried looking up the KBB value, but it doesnt go back that far..

Thanks!

-Drew

I ALSO HAVE AN 80 262C AND HAVE RESEARCHED THE SAME QUESTION. THE AW70 WOULD HAVE TO BE FROM A PRV 6 CYL TO BOLT UP BECAUSE THE AW70/71 FOR THE 4 CYL APPLICATION IS DESIGNED TO BOLT UP TO THE 4 CYL CARS WHICH LEAN TO THE RIGHT IN THE CAR, AND THEREFORE THE BELLHOUSING/CASE BOLTS ARE ALIGNED FOR THIS SPECIFIC APPLICATION ONLY. IN ADDITION, A MODIFIED FRONT DRIVESHAFT AND TRANSMOUNT WOULD BE REQUIRED TO MOUNT THE TRANS/OVERDRIVE ASSEMBLY INTO THE 6 CYL 200 SERIES. YOUR SECOND QUESTION IS MUCH HARDER TO ANSWER, THE VALUES OF THE CARS ARE HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE, I HAVE A VERY CLEAN CAR,(SEE THE SCVCOA.ORG SITE PAST EVENTS FOR A PIC OF MY BLACK COUPE) HOWEVER I WOULD REALISTICALLY PUT ITS VALUE AT NO MORE THAN 5,000 DOLLARS. THESE CARS ARE WORTH NO MORE THAN WHAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PAY FOR ONE AND DO NOT HAVE A STRONG ENOUGH FOLLOWING IN THE COLLECTOR CAR MARKET TO COMMAND MUCH MORE.
