Winshield questions?? 200 1986

It's time for a new windshield and my trim ring is toast so i am considering replacing with a 91' -93'. Does anybody have a photo of their Brick with this update? Sure would be nice to see what it looks like with out the trim. There is a rubber seal between the dash and winshield.... what is this for and is it needed for the update? Looking kinda old. Does anybody know of a good glass shop in Ventura,CA?? Thanks to all!

If you have a problem with the glass shop not wanting to replace it with a later glass, just tell them it's a 91, 92, or 93. They'll show up with the windshield ANd it's integral trim piece.

It is a better arrangement from a noise perspective, and the aftermarket prices range between about $150-200. If you want Volvo glass, you'll have to pay out for it.

My last windshield cost $135 (91-93 glass style). Even if you can go either way with respect to the design, having clear, scratch and dent-free glass is a great addition to any car.

Will 1991-91 Winshield fit 1986 240?? 200 1986

Some time back I read a post from an owner who did this, and it worked. Lessened the wind noise, and looked OK. BUT it was not a DIY job.

Maybe you need to get a few quotes?

Good Luck,

Bob
