A couple of questios about an '87 245. 200 1987

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with the following questions:

1.The rear wiper in my wagon is not working. Is this a problem commonly associated with wiring, or can I assume that the motor is toast?

2.The tail lights all function properly EXCEPT the rear foglights. Is this also due to wiring or is there something I'm missing?

The car is still new to me and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Mike Pittman

Perhaps. The headlights have to be on for the rear fog to work.

The wiring to the tailgate runs through a tight spot in the hinges (on both sides ) and commonly fails.
You can usually find new ones on ebay fairly reasonable (or at www.gapa.com)
Test first to see if they are bad, if no current to the moter, wire is probably bad, they usually break right in the hinge.

Unsure about the foglight thing , but always a good first step to clean the fuse panel connections and clean the contacts on the taillight assembly, good regular maintnence practice anyway
