Shocks/Struts 900 1995

It's time to change them and I want to know if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences with "over the counter" shocks/struts like Monroe, etc.

I'm just a simple driver who cruises mainly on the open road at 50+ mph. Want comfort at a reasonable price. Am thinking about ordering Boge Automatics or maybe the Boge Turbo Gas. No hard chargin' boy racer type.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Shocks/Struts 900 1995

I replaced the shocks on my '93 945T with Boge Turbo gas, which were about $55 from shox.com (slightly cheaper than IPD price). They have made a real difference in comfort and performance. Go for Boge Turbo Gas.

Just so we're all on the same page, this is a 940 of which you speak?

Re: Shocks/Struts 900 1995

Mike,

Boge Pro-Gas or Turbo Gas may be your best bet. Boge, Tokico or Bilstein cost a bit more but all are much, much better than Monroe etc. Try shox.com for prices ... a lot less expensive than IPD.

Re: Shocks/Struts 900 1995

Monroes are major junk

Go factory replacements

or go to www.ipdusa.com and check out what they have to offer

such as boges. You get what you pay for.
