Turn Signal Replacement 200 88

The Turn Signal Switch on my 88 240 DL just fell apart and I was thinking about replacing it myself. Can anyone tell me if the switch assembly is a simple "drop-in" or are there complications I should be aware of? Also, Do I need any special tools to do the job properly?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Turn Signal Replacement 200 88

Easier than changing a tire, and less work.

Tools: Phillips screwdriver.

Remove the top cover, between the steering wheel and dash — 2 screws.

Also remove the lower cover, same procedure.

Remove 2 screws holding directional switch, unplug from harness. If your car has cruise control, you'll have a second harness to unplug.

Reverse above steps to install new switch.

Estimated time: 5 minutes if you work carefully.

Common Don, you forgot to mention the air impact phillips driver you use to break those pups free and spin them out. No I have not had a drop to drink today either.

The best tools...... 200 88

Golly gee — you're right. I completely forgot that the best tool is the proton-enhanced, forward-ionized hyperbolic cross-linked Torquemaster.

Air powered, of course.

Hot air.

More information one these concepts is available HERE.
